Welcome back to week 6 of my weekly series—"What I'm Listening To"—where I plan to go through the top few songs, albums, or anything else that I've been listening to. I don't plan to review the songs, as I am in no way a music expert, but more so plan to give my thoughts on how the songs make me feel and maybe what the song is about. Also, sorry in advance that I may get on random tangents, I'm trying to keep these posts as close to how I'd describe them in real life. To be honest, it's been mostly a Wuki week for me since he released a bunch of tracks to his Twitch subs.
Grandmaster Flash—The Message (Wuki Remix)
Wuki, an artist I was first introduced to through Alison Wonderland's Red Rocks show last year, makes some of the best party music I've ever heard in my life. This song is no exception to his track record. A remix to a classic song is always welcomed as I like to see how older tracks can be influenced by newer sounds and technologies. Wuki's take on this track is amazing and brings new life to this song, while also keeping some aspects of the original. You can listen to this on Wuki's soundcloud here.
Johnny Cash—I've Been Everywhere (Wuki Edit)
An exclusive edit that only those who are subscribed to Wuki's twitch channel (found here), or were watching him (partly) making it a few weeks ago on his Twitch channel, have had the chance to listen to. One of the benefits of being a subscriber to his Twitch is he gives out links in his Discord for subs to listen to exclusive songs and mixes. While this edit is awesome for combining two different genres of music, I feel the second half is a little too repetitive and could have had either a different second half or the second half could have been scrapped completely. It is upbeat and makes you tap your feet—makes you want to move. Sorry, since this is an exclusive song, there is not a YouTube link to it. Logic—Wrist (ft. Pusha T)
One of my favorite songs off of the first "Bobby Tarantino" mixtape—one of the songs that goes the hardest on the whole mixtape. This is one of those songs that you just turn up to with your friends on a road trip—a song that just makes you want to be at a party. Logic + Pusha T = a masterpiece of a song, I hope they end up making even more tracks in the future.
Pusha T—Drug Dealers Anonymous (ft. Jay-Z)
Before this song, I didn't really listen to Pusha T that often. I honestly only listened to this song for Jay-Z's verse, since he's one of the GOAT rappers. While, in my opinion, Jay-Z (one of my favorites from the past few years) did have the better verse, Pusha T did have a fantastic verse. Both talking about their history of being drug dealers prior to being some of the best rappers in the game. The instrumental is crazy good too, and I loved that the producers put Tomi Lahren's talk about Beyoncé's Superbowl half-time show calling Jay-Z a drug dealer before his verse.

Mac Miller—Nike's On My Feet
Just recently, Mac Miller's estate was given permission to upload Mac Miller's "K.I.D.S." mixtape from 2010 to streaming services such as Apple Music. This song is probably my favorite off of the entire mixtape, mostly for the instrumental/chorus, to be honest. I like the Nas sample for the chorus. While the instrumental is my favorite part, the lyrics are amazing too. Listening back to this song now, it's crazy to see how much his music changed prior to his death. I mean his last two albums (one released before his death and one posthumously) were soft and moody in nature. One thing he never lost, though, was his ability to tell a story, whether it was complex or not.
